Conductivity is highly sensitive to temperature changes. As a liquid warms up, ions move faster, which increases conductivity.
Temperature Coefficient: For most aqueous solutions, conductivity increases by approximately 1.9% to 2% per degree Celsius.
Standardization: If you measure this solution at 20°C, the reading will be lower than 2500 µS/cm; if you measure at 30°C, it will be higher. Most modern meters use Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) to adjust the reading back to the 25°C value.
